Studyverse ("we," "us," "our") provides one-to-one JEE and NEET mentorship, coaching, and academic guidance to students across India. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you interact with us — through our website, booking forms, WhatsApp, phone calls, or diagnostic assessments — and how we use, store, and protect it.

By using our website or submitting your details through any of our forms, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not share your information with us.

2. Information we collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

• Contact details: name, phone number, email address, and city/location.
• Academic information: class/grade, target exam (JEE/NEET/Boards), previous scores, mock test results, subject-wise readiness, and study history shared during diagnostic forms or calls.
• Parent/guardian details: name and contact information, where shared for coordination and reporting purposes.
• Communication records: messages exchanged via WhatsApp, call notes, and responses to our outreach.
• Payment-related information: processed securely through our third-party payment gateway partner (Cashfree Payments). We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details on our own servers.
• Technical information: browser type, device information, and website usage data collected automatically via standard analytics and advertising tools (see Section 10).

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Assess academic readiness and design a personalised coaching plan.
• Schedule and conduct diagnostic calls, onboarding sessions, and ongoing mentorship.
• Send weekly progress reports to parents/guardians.
• Process payments and send payment links for enrolled programs.
• Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
• Send relevant updates, reminders, and promotional communication (which you may opt out of at any time).
• Improve our website, teaching methods, and services based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. WhatsApp & communication

We use WhatsApp Business (via an authorised messaging partner) to communicate with prospective and enrolled students/parents, including sending programme information, reminders, and progress updates. By sharing your phone number with us or initiating contact on WhatsApp, you consent to receiving such messages.

You can opt out of promotional WhatsApp messages at any time by replying "STOP" or contacting us directly. Essential service communications (e.g., relating to an active enrolment) may continue even after opting out of promotional messages.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: with trusted third parties who help us operate — including our payment gateway (Cashfree Payments), messaging platform (AiSensy), form/data hosting (Google Sheets, Google Forms), and analytics providers (Google Ads/Analytics) — solely to perform services on our behalf.
• Faculty & mentors: with the specific mentor/faculty member assigned to a student, to enable personalised coaching.
• Legal requirements: where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring, subject to continued protection of your data under this policy.

6. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Payment transactions are processed through Cashfree Payments, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway, and we do not store sensitive payment credentials on our own systems.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain academic/progress records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Enquiry data from prospective students who do not enrol may be retained for a reasonable period for follow-up communication, unless you request earlier deletion.

8. Your rights & choices

You may, at any time:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations.
• Opt out of promotional communication via WhatsApp, email, or phone.

9. Information about minors

Many of our students are minors. We collect student information with the involvement and implicit consent of a parent or guardian through the enrolment and diagnostic process, and all progress reporting is directed to the parent/guardian on record. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a minor independent of parental awareness for marketing purposes.

10. Cookies & tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (including Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Tag Manager) to understand website usage and measure the effectiveness of our outreach. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect certain website features.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
